Special:
– It was designed and fabricated by Ferdinand ("Ferry") Porsche, the son of well-known Dr. Ing Ferdinand Porsche, founder of Porsche.
– The concept of of "Project 356" was then styled by Irwin Komenda.
– The T2 model (356A model) was presented in 1957 at the traditional platform for the German car industry: the Frankfurt Messe.
– The name "356" was chosen as it was the 356th project off the Porsche design desk (in Gmünd/Kärnten, Austria).
– The GS-GT (Grand Sport – Grand Touring) was named Carrera in honor of the Mexican Carrera Panamaracana where Porsche Spyders had done so well.
– This 2+2 Coupé has a flat air-cooled boxer, race-bred 4-cam roller bearing engine in the back, two Weber DCMZ carburetors and a four-speed manual gearbox.

Special:
– These sports cars were manufactured and sold by subsidiaries of BSA, launched at April 1935.
– The body is built on a channel section steel frame and the front suspension by 8 quarter elliptic springs, the rear by semi-elliptical springs with a single brake for the front wheels (part of the differential unit) and drum brakes at the rear operated by rods.
– The engine has a so called side-valve high-efficiency detachable head block, a large diameter two bearing crankshaft, short and free from whip, mounted on ball and roller journal bearings.
– The cylinder block and crankcase are in one casting, ensuring greater rigidity and perfect alignment.
– The silent timing gearbox – silent double-helical constant mesh gears – (three forward + 1 reverse) with wide cams on a large diameter camshaft driven from crankshaft by duplex chain.
– This two seater has front wheel drive.
– The multiplate clutch has two alloy discs with cork inserts, running in oil.
– The Scouts had a 6-Volt electric system with dynamo, electric starter, coil ignition and Lucas equipment lights (a five lamp set) with dip and switch control to the head lights.

Special:
– The Traction Avant is designed by André Lefèbvre (spiritual father) and Flaminio Bertoni (final design) and was the first mass produced front drive and fully welded unibody construction car in the world.
– The original plan was to built the TA with an automatic gearbox. The first generation automatic gearboxes had "big troubles" and was nicknamed "Friteuse" (‘Fryer’), because it boiled constantly the oil in it.
– The engineers cobbled together (emergency measure and redesigned within three weeks!) a manual three-speed gearbox (column/dash shift), hardly fitted in the original housing of the automatic transmission. It remained the TA’s weak spot.
– It also has independently suspended front wheels and suspension by torsion bars, hydraulic brakes (Lockheed system) and from 1936 rack and pinion steering.
– The engines were equipped with overhead valves, very progressive for its time, with wet, replaceable cylinder bushes.
– Although the ingenious structure dating from 1934, it remained in production until 1957. And not because there was no successor (DS 1955), but simply because there were still too many "supporters" of this vehicle.
– It could be delivered as "7CV’, 11BL "Légère" (as Sedan, Cabrio and Faux-Cabrio), 11BN "Normale" ((as Sedan, Cabrio en Faux-Cabrio), 11BC "Commerciale" (with large tailgate), 11BF "Familiale" (with six side windows and folding chairs ("strapontins"), "Limousine" (without folding chairs), 15/6F, 15/6C (6 cylinder luxury versions) with a trunk or a spare wheel at the back.

– The Series 40 is based on Buicks "Y-Job project" (1938) and designed by Harley J. Earl (Styling Division) and was the automobile industry’s first concept car (the first car built by a mass manufacturer for the sole purpose of determining the public’s reaction to new design ideas).
– The "Y-Job" styling included the vertical waterfall grille design still used by Buick today.
– The ’41 models were again all new, with the front fenders now very closely integrated into the cars overall design.
– Production ended on 4 February 1942.

– On October 1, 1908, the company introduced the successful Ford Model T (also known as Tin Lizzie, Tin Lizzy, T‑Model Ford, Model T, or T), designed by Childe Harold Wills, Joseph A. Galamb and Eugene Farkas,
– At first assembled in Piquette plant and from 1910 in the Highland Park plant.
– It was Fords first mass production car (instead of individual hand crafting). The chassis was drawn by workers on a carriage trough the factory. Later, the sleds were replaced by carts on rails and mechanically drawn ("electric lines").
