Murray is a company credited for making one of the greatest hypercars ever, the R-1. Considered the pinnacle of road performance, its the yardstick of which all other hypercars are measured. Though it’s top speed record has been broken, and other cars will run a faster lap time, it’s still revered highly amongst enthusiasts worldwide. When the R-1 went out of production roughly 20 years ago, a succesor was always rumored. Those rumors blew out of proportion around 2210, until finally in late 2212, the prayers of hypercar lovers everywhere was answered. Revealed online was the R-X, the next chapter in automotive performance, according to Murray. The R-X is a car with 10 years of development behind it. Every crease, every bend, every vent serves a purpose, and that purpose is to make the R-X the most formidable track machine ever, just like it’s predecessor. Armed with various aerodynamic assist, including a pair of winglets that pop out of the sides, the R-X will stick to the corners at impossibly high speeds. Those high speed will be achieved with a 4.1 Liter Twin Turbo V8 Producing a massive 870 HP. Not the biggest amount in today’s hypercars, nor is the top speed of 278 MPH the fastest, but you don’t need big numbers to be the best on the track. This aims to be the best car for a driver today, not something for the straights. That driver will need deep pockets, thanks to the $910,000 price tag. The R-X is born into a world of competition, the most aggressive competitor being the Rogue XLR Blazyfury, an F1-inspired road monster from America. If the R-X wants to do good to it’s predecessor the R-1, then Rogue’s newest weapon will have to fail at the hands(or more accurately; wheels) of the R-X in every category.
