Automotive service technician apprentice spends scholarship on tools

A year ago Kathleen Mahoney never imagined herself in coveralls working on cars. Now, she’s doing her apprenticeship in the apprentice automotive service technician program at NAIT.

Kathleen won a scholarship after completing the automotive service technician pre-employment program. This short program gave her an overview of the automotive field and landed her an apprenticeship with a local Edmonton dealership.

She spent her scholarship on tools!
