In 2212, Amour took Le Mans by storm with the 809 LM12, a new LM-prototype built more or less to take on the Maud LMP M10 from Germany, and break the 6-year winning streak they had on the legendary endurance race. In the 2213 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 809 with it’s home field advantage, won again and defeated the German champions. Sadly due to poor economic performance from the company that year, Amour’s LMP program would have to shut down after just one year and one major victory. Two years would pass until in 2215, something was spotted testing at Amour’s Sochaux facility. Weeks later an announcement came that would surely put Maud and other LM competitors in a nervous sweat. Amour’s LMP program was back up, and they had a brand new weapon for the 2216 season. It was the 810 LM12, and while it looks similar to it’s predecessor, the only thing the 809 and 810 share is a brake pedal. The 810 is more or less all about downsizing. It’s a tad smaller and lighter than the 810. The 810 has a lower, more streamlined look for better aerodynamics. To compliment the lighter weight, the chassis of the 810 was reworked to make the 810 more agile than the 809, an LM already known for being quite nimble. Even the engine is smaller, with the new turbocharged V12 being 4 liters instead of 5. Despite all this downsizing, the 810 is a good amount stronger than the 809. With the new V12 producing 1,130 HP, the 810 has 200 HP over the 809. This new, greater power gives the 810 a 0-60 of a blistering 1.8 seconds, and a top speed breaking the 300 MPH barrier. The 810 is clearly going to be a power player at the 2216 24 Hours of Le Mans, though it will hardly be the only one. Manufacturers like Yamato, Maud, Cipher and Rogue will be on the grid with cars both old and new. Manufacturers like Ferdinand and even Harrier are rumored to be throwing their hats into the ring.
